I congratulate the Linux Mint team for clearly taking a stand against snaps today by removing it from their repository, it was something many of us were voicing already since last several months. Snap is being shoved down upon Ubuntu users' throats by making it the default which isn't a very sensible thing to do.

What's happening since last few months is unprecedented in the history of open source. When open source began its life, it was an attempt to escape the clutches of proprietary and monopolistic companies like Microsoft and Apple. It carved a way for the plebeian to have access to the computing domains which these walled gardens typically controlled access to.

So, a few days ago, Reliance Industries launched an online groceries ordering service called JioMart which is an alternative to BigBasket which is an established player in this business since last several years. I've been an avid "Big Basketeer" right since the days when SRK popularized that term among Indian middle class through that advertisement! And today, I decided to place my first order with JioMart because why not? Competition is not only essential for a free-market, its also in the best interests of the consumers!

Something about the corona virus statistics doesn't add up in the Indian context
I've been tracking this corona map of India since last few days and there is one thing that I really cannot understand. Corona started getting the limelight since January but there were hardly any cases in India back then, only one or two cases were found in Kerala if I recall correctly.
